Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian performer, singer-songwriter, and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil and Malayalam films. She first made an appearance as an actor with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian family background. She was born to a Madras High Court attorney. She has one younger sister who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing classical piano in her eighth year. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style band she joined when she was 10, was her foundation for singing and composing music. She was a stage performer at her university and participated in a variety of plays staged through The Madras Players, EVAM as well as other theatre companies. Then she was the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began the acting profession as a young performer in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo coffee commercial with the actor Shiva in the year 2006. Also, she acted as a character in Podhigai's serial. The actress has performed across India. She was a part of a short performance in Kanda Mudhal which was the 2005 final episode. Gautham Menon asked Andrea play the lead role after she sang in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. Andrea portrays Kalyani who is married and mother whose man has an affair. Andrea was approached after Simran shobana and Tabu. This film released in early 2010, It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to fill a smaller part in the film. Her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
